Surrey Police will be repeating last year’s policy of removing and destroying alcohol brought onto the green by underage drinkers. This policy makes the event safer for everyone and keeps it a family-friendly, fun event for all to enjoy. Please don’t bring alcohol onto the Green.
Many thanks

Proof that not everyone on the green is a local…
“During a rainy day’s build (Oct. 19?), I stopped at Treacle’s tea house with my UK family, and chatted with 3 men on the green as they busily built an ever-higher mound – impressive!
When told I was from Canada, one of you kindly noted that I’d find this online, and deservedly claimed bragging rights that Chiddingfold’s was one of the 10 best bonfires in England.
From the Empire’s land of the maple leaf, in a sister city also called London, may I say … well done!”

STOP PRESS ::: we have just got a couple of tickets for Top Gear Live for the Grand Draw. You probably know that the show is filmed only a few miles up the road, so even though Top Gear live is in Birmingham, it still has a real local connection. Buy your tickets on the night from the Grand Draw tent and you could end up in Birmingham watching Clarkson, Hammond
and Captain Slow performing the world’s first Charioteering.
